artifacts + assemblages
Artifacts and Assemblages are a range of physical remnants composed of natural and manmade materials—miniature architectural studies, hide, sticks, earth, strings, and remnants of found objects—taken out of context and recontextualized as a collection with its own vernacular and mythology. Displayed on low mirrored shelves, these modest materials—often of little intrinsic value—invite intimacy between the visitor and the relics themselves, revealing resonances of reconstructed meaning.
